BVFRD Fire Drill 5K/1M

The BVFRD Fire Drill 5K/1M is scheduled for April 25, 2026, at Burke Lake Park, Pavilion A, 7315 Ox Rd, Fairfax Station, VA 22039. The event is organized by the Burke Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department and is the fifth annual running of the Fire Drill event. Funds raised will support the station for equipment and training.

The event includes the following distances:

1 Mile Fun Run

Only online registration is available and registration remains open through race day. Registration fees are tiered: 5K : $30 through January 13; $40 January 14 through April 24; $45 on race day. 1 Mile : $20 through January 13; $30 January 14 through April 24; $35 on race day. Packet pick up will be available at the Burke Store (5715 Burke Centre Parkway, Burke, VA 22015) on Friday, April 24 from 12:00 to 20:00, and will also be available on race day at Burke Lake Park.

All participants receive a commemorative race shirt and finisher medal. Registrations received by April 9 are guaranteed a shirt and medal; after that items are available while supplies last. Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over.
