Event overview
The SuperHero SuperDash is a 5k and 10k event on April 25, 2026 at Rock Creek Park, Washington, DC. Points from the race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Spring Series. The event benefits Paws for Purple Hearts, an organization that provides assistance dogs and canine-assisted therapeutic programs for veterans and others facing mobility and trauma-related challenges. A virtual race option is available.

Race details
The course is paved and mostly flat with one considerable hill. The 5k is an out-and-back route and the 10k is two laps. The event is chip timed and finishers receive a medal and a technical (drifit) event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for entrants registered before April 15. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race. Runner tracking via SMS is available at registration.
There are five water stations on the 10k at about miles 0.6, 2.5, 3.1, 3.7, and 5.6; the 5k has two water stations at about miles 0.6 and 2.5. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Packet pickup is available at the event; there will be no on-site race registration. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in age groups 19&Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Parking is available at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center (5220 16th St NW). Registration fees: 5k $30 until March 31 ($35 after); 10k $45 until March 31 ($50 after).
