2026 SuperHero SuperDash 5k & 10k
The event is a road running race held on April 25 at Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC. It offers two distances:
- 5k
- 10k
Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Spring Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. Walkers and strollers are welcome.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical (DriFit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered before April 15; additional shirts are ordered afterward on a first-come first-served basis. Entry fees are listed with early and later pricing; prices increase by five dollars on race morning.
The course is paved and mostly flat with one considerable hill. The 5k is an out-and-back route and the 10k is two laps. Water stations are placed along the courses at approximate mile markers, with five stations on the 10k and two on the 5k; Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are located across from the Tennis Center. Packet pickup is available at the event; race day registration is not offered.
Awards include top three men and women overall and first and second place in standard age groups. The event benefits Paws for Purple Hearts, an organization that provides assistance dogs and canine-assisted therapeutic programs for veterans and service members.
