CACI Fizzy Mile 2026
CACI Fizzy Mile is a one mile running event held on April 24, 2026 in Sterling, Virginia at 45150 Business Court Suite 200. Registration is free and opens March 20, 2026 and closes April 20, 2026.
The event format combines four canned drinks and four laps. Each competitor drinks a can in the transition area and then completes a lap, repeating this sequence four times so the course covers a full mile. The first can is consumed at the start in the transition area. Competitors may walk or move while drinking in the transition area, but each can must be finished before the next lap begins.
Canned beverages must be at least 355 mL 12 Oz in volume. Seltzers are allowed as a non alcoholic alternative. Beer selection will be chosen by last year s Top 10 Finishers and beer must be at least 5 percent alcohol by volume. Cans must not be tampered with, and only opening the tab at the top is allowed; no straws or other aids are permitted. Each can must only be opened after entering the transition area on that lap.
If a competitor vomits before finishing, they must complete one penalty lap immediately after their fourth lap; multiple instances of vomiting during the race still require only one penalty lap. Beer and seltzer drinkers wear different bib colors.
Prizes apply to beer runners only and are 1st place 200, 2nd place 100, 3rd place 50, and an Average Joe prize of 50 awarded to the runner closest to the average time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
