About the race
Butterfly Run Whistler 2026 is a memorial walk and run held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Myrtle Philip Community School, 6195 Lorimer Road, Whistler, BC. The event is organized by Butterfly Support Network and is presented as the second annual Butterfly Run Whistler. The event features run and walk routes using the Whistler Valley Trail loop and nearby paths that pass the Whistler Golf Course. Signage will be posted along the route and participants may choose shorter options or return partway through the loop.
A pre-race program includes a land acknowledgement and personal stories, followed by a warm up; light refreshments, community resource booths, and activities for young children are planned after the event. All proceeds support Butterfly Support Network programs for people who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss; funds raised support bereaved parents across British Columbia. The event page reports CA$395.56 raised for fundraising organizations associated with the event. Registration notes: paid adult registrations include a participant race kit and t-shirt unless the registrant opts out. Children under 12 are free but must be registered and do not receive a race kit or included shirt; children size shirts are available for purchase at registration for CA$15.00.
