Butterfly Run Whistler 2026
Butterfly Run Whistler is a memorial walk/run taking place on October 3, 2026 at Myrtle Philip School, 6195 Lorimer Road, Whistler, BC. The event is organized by Butterfly Support Network to support people who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, or infant loss, and to fund programs for bereaved parents across British Columbia. All proceeds support the network's programs.
The event follows the Whistler Valley Trail loop. Signage will be posted along the route and participants may choose to shorten their route or return part way through the loop.
- Run: route of about 6 km around the Whistler Valley Trail loop.
- Walk: route of about 4 km to the Whistler Golf Course club house and back.
Registration and logistics information: adult registrations include a participant race kit and t-shirt, with an option to opt out of the kit or shirt. The deadline to guarantee preferred t-shirt sizes is September 1. Children under 12 are free but must be registered; a race kit and t-shirt are not included for children and child-size shirts can be purchased during registration. Registrations are non-refundable; if the event becomes entirely virtual, refunds will not be issued but race kits and shirts will still be provided.
Race kit pickup is available pre-event at a Spring Creek location (details provided by organizer) and on event day at Myrtle Philip School. Light refreshments, community resource booths, and activities for young children are planned. Parking at the school is limited; public transit from Whistler Village is available via bus routes #6 and #3 with a short downhill walk from the #3 stop.
