Butterfly Run Whistler 2026
Butterfly Run Whistler is a memorial walk and run organized by Butterfly Support Network. The event takes place around Myrtle Philip School, 6195 Lorimer Road, Whistler, BC, and uses sections of the Whistler Valley Trail and the Whistler Golf Course loop.
The event offers separate run and walk routes. Published route descriptions indicate a run route of just over 6 km and a walk route of about 4 km. Signage will be posted along the course and participants may choose the shorter walk route or return part way through the run loop at any time.
The stated purpose is to support people who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss. All proceeds fund Butterfly Support Network programs for bereaved parents across British Columbia. Fundraising organizations are associated with the event.
Adult registrations include a participant race kit and a t shirt, with an option to opt out of the kit or shirt. The deadline to guarantee a preferred t shirt size is September 1. Children under 12 are free but must be registered; children sized t shirts may be purchased for CA$15 at registration. If the event becomes entirely virtual, refunds will not be issued but participants will still receive their race kit and shirt. Race registrations are non refundable.
Race kit pickup is available before the event at Spring Creek and on event day at Myrtle Philip Community School. Parking at Myrtle Philip is limited; public transit from Whistler Village serves the area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
