The half marathon has +1,950 ft total gain and is about 81% dirt trail, 9% fire road, and 8% dirt road. Course navigation is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals; wrong-way routes are marked with red flags.
Aid, safety, and services
The marathon has two widely spaced aid stations and requires a hydration vest or bottle. The half marathon has one aid station and a hydration vest or bottle is strongly recommended. Aid stations offer Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger products, fruit, and snacks. Runners receive a race shirt, a locally made finisher medal, free race photos, and live results. Awards include overall plaques and age-division medals. Volunteers receive a credit for future races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
