Event Overview
The Butler's Back the Blue 5k is held in Butler, Pennsylvania, on a Sunday in mid-May. The event offers three options: a 5k run, a 2 Mile walk, and a virtual 5k.
Course and Location
The event takes place at 184 Alameda Park Rd. Registration is located at the bottom of Alameda Hill at the carousel pavilion. The course is described as very fast.
Awards and Amenities
Prize money is awarded to the top overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are given, with the top three male and female overall winners receiving a police dog trophy. The top three finishers in each 10-year age group for the 5k receive a police medal. Awards are also given to the top three male and female walkers.
Post-race free food includes pasta salad, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches, pierogies, and fruit. A DJ provides music and plays the national anthem. Leashed dogs are welcome.
