Butcombe Trail Ultra
The Butcombe Trail Ultra is a challenging trail ultramarathon held in the Mendip Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UK. It features two self-navigation race distances: 50 miles and 50 kilometers, both following a mostly off-road route that criss-crosses scenic countryside and passes six pubs. The event starts and finishes at the Mendip Activity Centre in Churchill and is organized by the volunteer-run Town & Country Harriers running club to support the Mendip Hills Fund.
The race emphasizes safety with mandatory kit and tracking devices, and serves as a qualifier for the prestigious UTMB® series. It offers inclusive prize categories and strong community support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
