Butcombe Trail Ultra

Butcombe Trail Ultra are self navigation trail ultramarathons held in the Mendip Hills and organised by the Town and Country Harriers running club. The event donates all surplus money to the Mendips Hills Fund and is staged at the Mendips Activity Centre (BS25 5PQ) on Saturday 17th April 2027.

Distances offered:

BTU50M: 50 miles, 81 km, 1960 m ascent
BTU50K: 31 miles, 50 km, 1200 m ascent

Race services and features include well stocked aid stations run by trail runners, GPS trackers for real time location, prizes for top finishers in open and female categories, goody bags for age group winners, free race day photos, a finish-line medal and hot meal, and free race day parking at the race headquarters with an on site camping option. The races serve as qualifying index events for UTMB and sister races. Organisers run pre race recces and have partnered with Into Ultra to offer a small number of free places for those who cannot afford entry.
