The Summer GMU

The Summer Green Man Ultra (GMU) is a challenging ultra marathon held near Bristol, UK, featuring two race distances: 45 miles and 30 miles. Both races follow the same course clockwise along the Community Forest Path, with the 45-mile race starting and finishing at Ashton Park School, and the 30-mile race starting at The White Horse, Hambrook, finishing at Ashton Park. The event offers four checkpoints with food and drink, and all finishers receive a bespoke medal and technical t-shirt.

Runners completing both summer and winter 45-mile events in the same year earn a special GMU buckle. The course is self-navigated, tough, and muddy, with a 12-hour cut-off for the 45-mile race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
