Event overview
The Burnsall Trail Half is a half-distance trail race held in Burnsall, North Yorkshire on Saturday 18 April 2026. The event is organised by Due North Events and takes place at the Riverside Car Park Field, Burnsall, BD23 6BU, beside the Red Lion pub. Entries open on 29 July 2025 and close on 14 April 2026. Entry fees are listed as £35 for UKA members and £37 for non-members. The minimum age for entry is 17. At the time of this listing there are 13 participants entered.
Course, facilities and requirements
The course uses several sections of the Dales Way footpath and features around 500 m of ascent, with riverside paths, stone tracks and open fields. The route is partially way marked. Drink stations provide water and juice. Post-race provisions include a meal (pie, soup or similar), a bottle of beer, Due North merchandise and sponsor goodies. Free car parking is provided at the venue and there are male and female toilets at the top of the car park.
Minimum kit requirements include a waterproof jacket with hood, hat and gloves, and a cup or bottle (no cups are provided at drink stations). Runners must carry a mobile phone with the race-day number stored and a location app such as OS Locate. Prizegiving includes 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female prizes and first prizes in V40, V50, V60 and V70+ categories. Spectators are asked not to park on narrow country roads.
