Event overview

The Burnsall 12k Trail Race takes place on Saturday 18 April 2026. It is part of the Due North Trail series. The route follows the first 12k of the half marathon with a diversion from Appletreewick that returns runners to the finish in Burnsall. The minimum age for competitors is 17.

Location, entries and fees

The event base is Riverside Car Park Field, Burnsall, BD23 6BU (what3words: explorer.tumblers.sprain). Entries open 29 July 2025 and close 14 April 2026. The organiser reports 9 participants entered so far. Entry fees are listed as £25 for UKA members and £27 for non-members. A series discount is available if multiple Due North events are entered.

Facilities, kit and race provisions

The course is partially way marked. Drinks stations provide water and juice; participants must bring a cup or bottle as cups are not provided. Included for participants are a post-race meal (pie, soup or similar), a bottle of beer, Due North merchandise, and sponsor goodies. Free car parking is available. A toilet block with male and female toilets is located at the top of the car park.

Minimum kit requirements include a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, and a mobile phone with a location app installed. Prize categories include 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and age-group prizes for V40, V50, V60 and V70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
