Burney Mountain 100
The Burney Mountain 100 is a 100 mile endurance run in Cassel, CA that follows a looped course through Lassen National Forest and the Thousand Lakes Wilderness. The route passes through the Burney Basin and the Thousand Lakes area, and offers views of Mount Lassen, Mount Shasta, the Hat Creek Rim, and extensive lava flows.
The course accumulates about 15,000 feet of elevation gain and covers varied terrain, including rocky ridgelines, lush forest floor, and sections above the tree line. The event starts and finishes at Burney Mountain Guest Ranch.
A runner's guide contains detailed information on aid stations, drop bags, crew access, and pacer rules. Dry camping is provided at Burney Mountain Guest Ranch for runners and crew on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights with costs covered by Intermountain Endurance. The ranch offers on-site amenities such as a restaurant, a salt water pool, laundry, and corn hole. A post race meal is provided for runners and the ranch restaurant will be open for crew and pacers.
