Event details
Burn The Bird is a running and walking event in Great Falls, Montana, held on Thursday, November 27, 2025. The race takes place at Gibson Park (Park Drive North and 4th Avenue North). The event program includes the following distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1.33 mile (one lap around Gibson Park)
A portion of the event proceeds will support the Rivers Edge Trail. The first 400 participants receive a pair of event socks. Course maps are provided for each distance (5k and 1.33 mile as PDF maps; 10k route available via RideWithGPS).
Registration and logistics
Entry fees listed are $35 for the 10k and 5k, and $15 for the 1.33 mile. Registration conditions note a price increase after November 19, 2025, and the 1.33 mile registration has a planned close and re-open around November 19–20, 2025. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the Race Montana headquarters at Evergreen Square, 1301 11th Ave S, Ste 3, Great Falls, MT 59405. Race day sign-up is available at Gibson Park.
