2026 Burke Lake Christmas Eve 5k & 10k
The event offers two measured race distances around Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, VA, on December 24. Distances include:

- 10k
The course is a combination of paved road and trail. The first and last half mile of each distance use paved roads. The trail section has some roots but is fairly well maintained and does not feature major elevation gains. Walkers are explicitly welcome. A virtual race option is available for those unable to attend in person.
Registered participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 9; additional shirts will be available after that date on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees differ by distance and increase after December 15, with an additional increase on race morning.
Water stations are placed along each course: three stations on the 10k at approximately miles 0.5, 3.1, and 5.7, and two stations on the 5k at approximately miles 0.5 and 2.6; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Live results are posted during the event and final results with series points are published the Monday after the race. Packet pickup and race day registration are available at the venue; t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for same-day registrants.
Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Fall Series. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to top finishers in standard age categories. Parking is inside Burke Lake Park near the mini golf area; a GPS coordinate is provided for the meeting location.
