Burke Lake Christmas Eve 5k & 10k
This event takes place on December 24 at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series and toward the Fall Series. The event includes an in-person and a virtual run option.

- 10 km - trail and paved course around Burke Lake
- 5 km - trail and paved course around Burke Lake
The course is a combination of paved road and trail. The first and last half mile of both distances are on paved roads. The trail sections may have roots but are described as fairly well maintained with no major elevation gains. Walkers are welcome.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 9; additional shirts will be ordered and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Water stations are provided: three stations on the 10k at approximately miles 0.5, 3.1 and 5.7, and two stations on the 5k at approximately miles 0.5 and 2.6; Gatorade will be available at some stations.
Packet pickup and race day registration are available at the event; arriving about one hour before the race is recommended for check-in. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to top finishers in standard age groups. Live results are posted online with a QR code at the race and final results with series points are published the Monday after the event.
