Event Details

The Burke Lake 12K is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2026. The race starts and finishes at the northern end of the Burke Lake Park Ice Cream Parlor/Merry-Go-Round parking lot on the main roadway. The location is 7315 Ox Rd, Fairfax Station, Virginia.

Course Description

This is an out-and-back course that follows a route almost completely around Burke Lake. The course begins with a clockwise direction on mildly rolling terrain. The first half mile is on a paved main roadway. After crossing a small bridge, runners bear right onto a dirt path, keeping the lake on their right. Participants are advised to watch for tree roots and protruding rocks on this path. The turnaround point is located past an earthen dam, approximately 200 yards past the 4.0 mile marker. Runners then proceed counterclockwise around the lake back to the start/finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
