Burien Brat Trot

Burien Brat Trot is a community fun run that raises funds for the Highline Schools Foundation and students across Highline Public Schools. The event has run for more than sixteen years and supports basic needs, equitable and innovative learning opportunities, and college and career readiness for students at all grade levels and in every school in Highline.

The route runs along 152nd through downtown Burien and nearby neighborhood streets. The event includes separate running distances and awards for top finishers and group participation. Prizes are awarded to the school with the most participants, the adult team with the most participants, top men’s and women’s finishers in the 5k, and top boys’ and girls’ finishers in the 1k.

Registration for teams and individuals opens in late summer. Teams receive a 10% registration discount when they obtain a team promo code before registering. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500.

Volunteer roles include handing out registration packets before the event, day-of tasks such as raffle ticket sales, medal distribution, set-up and take down, and serving as route monitors along the course.
