Five courses are available:

  • Blue 5.8km
  • Green 4.4km
  • Light Green 4.0km
  • Orange 2.6km
  • Yellow 1.8km

Map size is A4 and all distances are subject to final controlling. Yellow is intended for beginners, including juniors, and may be done solo, in a pair or as a family; controls are mainly on forest paths and marked by orange and white kites. Orange suits juniors developing skills and adults starting out and uses linear features and possible shortcuts. Light Green, Green and Blue include a mandatory manned road crossing; Light Green controls are off paths and require accurate navigation, while Green and Blue visit most of the forest. Parking and assembly access is from Reading Road between Burghfield Common and Mortimer Common (Grid Ref SU645651; what3words: range.pushes.coats). There will be a 500 m walk from the car park to the start/finish area that includes a manned road crossing. No toilets are provided; competitors should bring their own water.
