Buns on the Run 5K
The Buns on the Run 5K is an annual event hosted by the Bemus Point Track Club in the village of Bemus Point. The event features multiple options for participants:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- 5K Walk (3.1 miles)
- Kids' 1 Mile Fun Run
The course is located along the lakeside, with the start and finish lines positioned in Village Park at 1 Lakeside Drive. The 5K distance follows a course officially certified by the USATF (certificate #NY24009JJ). This event is included as part of the Chautauqua Striders 2026 Runner of the Year Series.
Participants who complete their registration by May 17 are eligible to receive an event shirt. On the day of the event, registration and packet pick-up are handled on-site, where payments via cash, check, or Venmo are accepted.
The organizers provide light post-run refreshments for those taking part in the races. Prizes are designated for overall winners as well as specific age group categories. For those traveling by car, parking is recommended along Sunnyside Drive in the vicinity of Bemus Point Elementary School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
