Bumrun Toronto 2026
Bumrun is a charity event dedicated to raising awareness for colon cancer screening and prevention. Proceeds from the event support medical research, patient support programs for families, and public health education. The event takes place at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario at Queen's Park in Toronto.
The event features the following distances:
- 5 km walk/run
- 500 m Little Bums run (for children ages 12 and under)
Participants in the 5 km event are organized into corrals based on speed, with fast runners at the front and walkers at the back. The course has a strict time limit, requiring the route to be clear by 9:15 AM to allow for road reopenings. An open-air baggage check is available on-site for storing belongings during the race.
While water is provided at the main event site, there are no water stations along the running route. Participants receive a finisher medal, specific event swag, and a personalized fundraising page upon registration. Medical support is available via a stationary medic at Queen's Park and mobile medics on bicycles along the course. Refreshments are provided for all participants and volunteers following the completion of the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
