Building Homes For Heroes: Honoring Our Heroes 5K Run/Walk
Building Homes For Heroes: Honoring Our Heroes 5K Run/Walk is an athletic event held at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York. Taking place at Field 2 near Parking Lot 2, the event is scheduled to proceed rain or shine. The proceeds from the race benefit the Building Homes For Heroes organization.
Participants can choose from the following event categories:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids Fun Run
The 5K course is open to runners, walkers, and wheelchair or hand cyclist participants. All registrants for the event receive a commemorative t-shirt, though sizes are not guaranteed. The first 150 finishers across the line will receive finisher medals. Additionally, participants who sign up at least three weeks before the event will receive a personalized bib with their name printed on it.
The Kids Fun Run is an untimed event designed for younger participants. Every child who completes the fun run receives a finisher medal.
On-site amenities include post-race water and bananas, as well as pre-race and post-race stretching provided by professional staff. The event features LIVE text and email results, along with free finish line photos and video. Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in several age groups ranging from 14 and under to 80 plus.
