Building Homes For Heroes: Honoring Our Heroes 5K Run/Walk
This event is a charity 5K run and kids fun run held in East Meadow, New York at Eisenhower Park Field 2, Parking Lot 2. Proceeds benefit Building Homes For Heroes. The event is presented as an open public race with both timed and untimed participation options.

- Kids untimed run with a finisher medal
Amenities listed for the event include finisher medals for the first 150 finishers, a participant t-shirt for all registrants, post-race fruit provided by Chiquita Bananas, pre and post race stretching by Professional Physical Therapy, water at the finish line, live/text/email results, free finish line photos, personalized bibs for those registered three weeks in advance, and raffles. A digital bib is available for virtual participants.
Awards are planned for the top three male and top three female overall finishers and for top three male and female finishers in age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
In-person bib pickup is available at the event with a self lookup area for participants who do not know their bib number. Results and same-day finish line photos are provided online and via text or email, with additional photos shared on social media. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
