Building Homes For Heroes: Honoring Our Heroes 5K Run/Walk
Building Homes For Heroes: Honoring Our Heroes is a community 5K run and walk held at Eisenhower Park Field 2 in East Meadow, New York. The event program includes a wheelchair and hand-cyclist division and a kids fun run. Registration is not yet open and will open ahead of the event date.
Amenities for participants include race shirts for all registrants, finisher medals awarded to the first 150 finishers, and a finisher medal for the kids fun run. The event provides post-race water and bananas, pre- and post-race stretching led by a physical therapy provider, live and electronic results, free finish line photos, and raffles. Personalized bibs are available for registrants who register three weeks in advance.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, including 14 and under, 15 to 19, and successive ten-year categories up to 80 and over. In-person bib pickup is available on race day and a digital bib option is provided for virtual participants.
