Building Homes For Heroes: Honoring Our Heroes 5K Run Walk
Building Homes For Heroes: Honoring Our Heroes is a community 5K run and walk with an accompanying kids fun run held at Eisenhower Park Field 2, Parking Lot 2 in East Meadow, New York. The event is held rain or shine and benefits Building Homes For Heroes. Registration is not yet open and prior race information is available from earlier editions.

Event amenities include finisher medals for the first 150 finishers, a t-shirt for all registrants, a post race banana provided by Chiquita Bananas, pre and post race stretching led by Professional Physical Therapy, water at the finish line, live results by web text and email, free finish line photos, and raffles. Personalized bibs are available to registrants who register at least three weeks in advance. The kids untimed run also includes a finisher medal.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups starting at 14 and under and continuing by decade up to 80 and over.
Bib pickup is offered in person on race day through event staff with a self lookup option for unknown bib numbers; a digital bib is available for virtual participants. Proceeds go to Building Homes For Heroes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
