Event overview
The 11th Annual Building Healthy Communities 5K Run/Walk and Wellness Expo takes place on February 14, 2026, at Hampton Park, 30 Mary Murray Drive, Charleston, SC 29403. The event raises funds for the MUSC Children’s Health Wellness Works program. The course is USATF-certified and the event is open to ages 4 and up. Registration currently lists a price of $40 and notes that the price increases after January 14, 2026. Payment for raffle tickets is by cash or card only; checks are not accepted.
What is included and on-site features
Registration includes a t-shirt, a race packet with freebies, water, and healthy snacks. The event provides official timing, overall and age-group awards for the top three in each group, and a finisher’s medal for participants who complete the full 5K course. A Wellness Expo runs alongside the run/walk. Day-of registration and on-site packet pick-up are available at the event, and pre-race packet pick-up is offered the day before at Fleet Feet West Ashley.
Expo, vendors and raffle
The Wellness Expo lists booths and vendors such as Girls on the Run; Coastal Kids Dental and Braces; The Little Gym, West Ashley; Habits for Health (Saladmaster); MUSC Wellness Center; MUSC Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences; and IVY Energetic Studio. Raffle prizes include event packages, tickets, gift cards, a sports massage, and other donated items. Portable toilets will be available at the site.
