The Buddy Holly Run is a club race established in 2022 and held in April in Lubbock, Texas. The 2026 edition takes place at the Buddy Holly Center, 1801 Crickets Ave. Distances offered include:
- 1 Mile
- 5K Run/Walk
- 15K Run
Details
Online registration closes Friday, April 10th at 11:59 PM. Participants who register by Monday, April 6th are guaranteed a shirt size. Packet pickup is available at FootTech on Friday, April 10th from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, or on race day from 6:45 AM to 7:40 AM. The event is designated a T-shirt race.
Entry fees are listed by event and membership status: $15 for the 1 Mile (WTRC members and non-member children age 4-12), $25 for 5K (members and non-member children age 10-12), $25 for members for 5K and 15K, and $35 for non-members for 5K and 15K. There is no race day registration and no refunds.
Age requirements are specified: 4-12 for the 1 Mile, 10 and older for the 5K Run/Walk, 16 and older for the 15K, and 18 and older to use strollers in the 5K. Race results and photo galleries from prior years are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
