Bucktown 5K and Kids Dash

The Bucktown 5K and Kids Dash take place in Chicago on October 3, 2027. This is the 28th running of the event and it uses a flat, family friendly course through the Bucktown neighborhood that highlights historic buildings and homes.

The event offers an in person 5K, a Kids Dash, and a Virtual 5K option that allows participants to run from any location while still receiving event swag. Race participants on the in person course run on closed city streets. All finishers receive a new finisher medal and free finisher photos. 5K entrants receive a premium swag item and a full zip hoodie, while the Kids Dash includes a comfortable youth tee.

A neighborhood block party follows the run, with live music and fresh snacks including donuts. The event includes volunteer opportunities, group registration options, and a charity partnership with Friends of Burr to support Jonathan Burr Elementary School.
