Buckeye Marathon - January 9, 2027
The event includes multiple road-race distances held in and around Buckeye, Arizona, with start locations at Festival Foothills Elementary School and Buckeye Municipal Airport and a finish on the airport runway. The marathon route descends more than 530 feet in elevation and passes near the White Tank Mountains. Half marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 Mile participants start and finish at the airport and run out-and-back sections with mountain views.
The course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston/National qualifier. All events are chip timed with real-time results and photos. The marathon course has a closure time of 6 hours; the half marathon has a closure time of 5 hours. On-course support includes water and Gatorade roughly every two miles on the marathon through mile 20 and at every mile thereafter; water at every mile on the half and 5K courses; GU energy gels available at specified marathon and half-marathon miles; and restrooms approximately every two miles. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at a local hotel and on race day at the start areas. Donations collected at the event benefit the City of Buckeye Youth Scholarship Fund.
In-person participants receive a custom event medal and a Dri-Fit tech shirt, with options to upgrade or opt out for a small adjustment in registration. Strollers are permitted; pets are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
