13th Annual Buckeye Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The event takes place on January 9, 2027 at the Buckeye Municipal Airport in Buckeye, Arizona. Distances offered include:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual race option (US addresses only)
The marathon begins at Festival Foothills Elementary School, runs around the White Tank Mountains and finishes on the Buckeye Municipal Airport runway. The marathon drops over 530 feet in elevation from start to finish and is described as a downhill, fast course. The marathon course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston qualifier. All events are chip timed with real time results and event photos.
On-course support includes water and Gatorade stations approximately every two miles on the marathon course through mile 20, then at every mile thereafter. Half marathon and 5K courses have water at every mile. GU Energy gels and restrooms are provided at specified mile points. Age group awards are offered for the marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K. All participants in the in-person events receive a custom finisher medal and a custom dri-fit tech shirt.
The event is nonrefundable. Donations benefit the City of Buckeye Youth Scholarship Fund. Shuttle service, packet pickup locations, and race day logistics are provided by the event organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
