Estrella Mountain Trail Fest
Estrella Mountain Trail Fest takes place at Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear, Arizona. Start and finish locations use the Desert Rose Trail Head and the competitive track area adjacent to Phoenix Raceway. A park fee of $10.00 per car applies.
All courses are trail runs that pass through and around the park and offer views of the surrounding mountains. Routes include climbs and descents. The half marathon includes a loop that uses Coldwater Trail and has a four hour time limit. The 10K has a two hour and thirty minute limit. The 5K route includes a narrow section from mile 1 to mile 2 on a 3 to 5 foot trail, then a wider, cleaner trail after mile 2.
Multiple aid stations are provided and water is available on course. Organizers strongly recommend carrying a hydration pack because some water stations do not provide cups.
Finish line and postrace provisions vary by event. Finisher items:
- Half Marathon: medal, finisher shirt, WrightSocks
- 10K: medal, finisher shirt, WrightSocks
- 5K: medal, finisher shirt
Half marathon, 10K and combined challenge finishers have access to a recovery tent with compression legs. VIP areas and finish-line refreshments include cold drinks, fruit, snacks and sandwiches for finishers.
Awards include overall top three male and female for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, plus age-group awards as listed for each event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
