About the race
Coldwater Rumble Trail Runs is a multi-distance trail event held Saturday, January 16, 2027 at Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear, Arizona, with the start/finish located at the Estrella Mountain Competitive Track.
Distances offered include:
- 100 Mile
- 100K
- 50K
- 20 Mile
- 10 Mile
- 5 Mile
The 100 Mile course uses two 10 mile red loops followed by three 27 mile blue loops for a total listed distance of about 101.3 miles and a time limit of 32 hours. Courses run on desert trails at the foothills of the Sierra Estrella mountains and include surfaces such as crushed granite single track, rocks and boulders, sandy washes, old jeep roads, and dry wash beds. A sandy section called Corgett Wash appears on the back half of several loops.
Event services include well stocked aid stations, chip timing with live split points, staffed medical support, and course photographers. Drop bags are allowed at the Rumble HQ for all distances; remote drop bags are allowed at Horse Thief Aid for longer distances. Crews are permitted at the start/finish area and at Horse Thief Aid with restrictions on structures and camping. Pacers are allowed only for the 100 Mile and 100K distances and may join at specified mile points.
The event operates cupless aid stations with reusable cups available. Parking and on-site camping options are provided at the Competitive Track.
