The Buck 50 is a 50 kilometer trail race held in Kattskill Bay, New York, on October 3, 2026. The course starts and finishes at Camp Chingachgook on Pilot Knob Road and follows remote dirt and mountain trails along the shores of Lake George. The route crosses four of Lake George's taller peaks and lists a total climb of about 9,000 feet.

The route sequence follows Buck Mountain, then Shelving Rock and Dacy Clearing Road to the Sleeping Beauty trail, continues to Fishbrook Pond to access the Black Mountain trail, summits Black Mountain and descends to Black Mountain Point on the lake shore, climbs the shoulder of Erebus Mountain, returns to Dacy Clearing Road, and then climbs Buck Mountain again before returning to Camp Chingachgook.

Staffed aid stations are placed along the course: at mile 6.6 (Dacy Clearing Road), mile 14.2 (Black Mountain Trail) with a 5 hour cutoff, mile 18.6 (Black Mountain Point), mile 25.3 (Dacy Clearing Road) with a 9.5 hour cutoff, and the finish at mile 32.5 (Camp Chingachgook) with a 12 hour cutoff.

Registration requires prior ultra-trail experience. Acceptable experience examples include recent finishes at ultra-distance trail races or strong performances at shorter or non-trail events.
