Buck 50 is a 50K trail race in Kattskill bay, New York, that follows trails along the shore of Lake George in the southern Adirondacks. The course includes approximately 9,000 feet of climbing and crosses four peaks.

The route starts at Camp Chingachgook on Pilot Knob Road and follows dirt trails and singletrack. Runners go over Buck Mountain, connect to the Sleeping Beauty trail via Shelving Rock and Dacy Clearing Road, continue over Sleeping Beauty to the Black Mountain trail via Fishbrook Pond, summit Black Mountain and descend to Black Mountain Point on Lake George. The course then climbs the shoulder of Erebus Mountain, returns to Dacy Clearing Road, and finishes back at Camp Chingachgook after a final crossing of Buck Mountain.

Aid stations are located at mile 6.6 (Dacy Clearing Road), mile 14.2 (Black Mountain trail, cutoff 5 hours), mile 18.6 (Black Mountain Point), mile 25.3 (Dacy Clearing Road, cutoff 9.5 hours), and at the finish (mile 32.5, cutoff 12 hours).

Registration for the event requires prior ultra-trail experience. Relevant experience examples listed by the organizer include recent finishes at ultra distance trail races and notable performances at shorter or non-trail races.
