Brynkinalt Running Festival
The festival takes place on the private Brynkinalt Estate near Wrexham and Chirk. Events run over a weekend with canicross on Saturday and standard trail running on Sunday. The race headquarters and the race start and finish are located in front of Brynkinalt Hall, with a short walk to the parking area.
Distances offered:
- 5k (approx), minimum age 12 years.
- 10k (approx), minimum age 16 years.
Routes follow paths across the estate and are not open to the public outside the event. The course includes footpaths, grass sections and small stony sections, with climbs and views across the estate. Organisers provide one water station approximately halfway around the 10k route and water at the start and finish areas; runners are asked to bring a suitable bottle for use during the race.
Parking is on the Brynkinalt Estate on Trevor Road, arriving from the centre of Chirk, and a parking fee of £3 applies. The event lists The Movement Centre as its charity partner. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers at each distance. Participants receive a medal and post-race items at the finish.
