Brynkinalt Running Festival : overview

The Brynkinalt Running Festival is a two-day trail running event held on the private Brynkinalt Estate in Wrexham (LL14). The festival includes canicross on the first day and standard trail running on the second day. Races take place on estate paths and open areas that are normally closed to the public. The course mixes fast footpaths, grass sections, small stony sections and climbs with estate views. The event lists The Movement Centre as a charity partner and gives awards to the top three female and top three male at each distance.

Race headquarters, start and finish are in front of Brynkinalt Hall. Parking is on the Brynkinalt Estate (Trevor Road, Chirk, LL14 5HA) with a £3 parking fee; arrivals should use Trevor Road from the centre of Chirk and not the trade entrance. The organisers provide one water station about halfway on the 10k route and water by the start/finish area. The start/finish area is a short walk from parking and will include a help desk and music. Minimum ages are 12 for the 5k and 16 for the 10k. Finishers receive event goodies and a medal. The route is not published for public use outside the event.
