Event information
The Brynkinalt Running Festival takes place on 14th-15th March 2026 at the Brynkinalt Estate, with the race HQ in front of Brynkinalt Hall (Wrexham LL14 5NS). The festival runs canicross on Saturday and trail running on Sunday. Distances offered include:
- 5k (approx)
- 10k (approx)
Minimum ages are 12 years for the 5k and 16 years for the 10k. Parking is at Brynkinalt Estate, Chirk, Trevor Road (LL14 5HA). There is a £3 parking fee and attendees are asked to arrive from the centre of Chirk on Trevor Road rather than the trade entrance at the back. The event lists The Movement Centre as a charity partner.
Course, facilities and prizes
All routes are on private estate land and are not published in advance. The course uses estate footpaths and grass areas, with some small stony sections and climbs that provide views across the estate. The start and finish are a short walk from the parking area. Organisers plan one water station on the 10k route and additional water at the start and finish area; runners are advised to bring a suitable bottle. Music and a help desk will be available near the start/finish. Finishers receive a medal and additional event items. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male at each distance.
