Brutal @ Longmoor is a multi-distance cross-country event held at Longmoor. The course runs through sand dunes with multiple hill climbs and several water features, including a crater-like feature called "Tank Wallow" and a linear pond nicknamed the "Swimming Pool" near the start and finish. All finishers receive a medal. The event is partnered with Havant and East Hants Mind for fundraising.
Courses, ages and entries
- 5 Miles (8 km) - single lap, includes dunes and water features
- 10 Miles (16 km) - two laps, second lap repeats the first with additional muddy sections
Minimum ages: 5 Miles - 10 years old if accompanied by an entered adult, or 13 unaccompanied; 10 Miles - 15 years old. There is a 90 minute cut-off to complete the first lap for 10 Mile entrants. Entries recorded at the time of listing: 210 of 500 total (5 Miles: 143 entered; 10 Miles: 67 entered). Car sharing is available.
Entry fees on the listing: 5 Miles senior £31.50, junior £23.63; 10 Miles senior £35.00, junior £30.00. Juniors are defined as under 18 on race day. Final pre-event details are communicated to entrants on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
