Brutal @ Longmoor is an off-road running event at Longmoor held on Sunday 28th December. The event has space for up to 500 entrants, with 398 entered at the time of this listing. All finishers receive a medal. Car sharing is available. The event is working with Havant and East Hants Mind as a charity partner for the year.
Courses
- 5 Miles (8 km): single lap, sand dunes, hill climbs and water features.
- 10 Miles (16 km): two laps, second lap repeats the first with extra mud.
The 5 mile course includes named features such as "The Dunes", the "Tank Wallow" water crater, and a linear pond called the "Swimming Pool" near the start and finish. The 10 mile option repeats the lap and adds more muddy sections. There is a 90 minute cut off to complete the first lap for the 10 mile entry.
Entry and rules
Minimum ages: 10 years old with an accompanying adult, 13 years unaccompanied for the 5 mile; 15 years for the 10 mile. Juniors are defined as under 18 on race day. Entry fees listed are: 5 Miles senior £31.50, junior £23.63; 10 Miles senior £35.00, junior £30.00. Withdrawals are allowed up until 14:00 on the Thursday before the event; withdrawn entries are credited to the entrant’s account for use at another event rather than refunded.
