Brutal @ Longmoor
Brutal @ Longmoor takes place on Monday 28th December on a course that runs through sand dunes and includes multiple hill climbs and water features. The route passes through an arena area that provides close spectator viewing and finishes with a medal presented to all finishers.
The event offers two course options:
- 5 Miles (8 km): single lap; min age 10 with adult or 13 unaccompanied.
- 10 Miles (16 km): two laps; 90 minute cut off to complete the first lap; min age 15.
The 5 mile route includes named features such as the Dunes, the Tank Wallow (a crater-like water feature), and a linear pond called the Swimming Pool near the start and finish. The second lap of the 10 mile option repeats the course with additional muddy sections.
Entry pricing varies by date with early bird fees from 4th August and higher fees from 4th November; separate senior and junior rates apply. Juniors are defined as under 18 on race day. Children under 13 must be accompanied on course by an adult who is also entered, due to the course terrain and water features. Withdrawals are permitted until the Thursday prior to the event and withdrawn entries are credited for future Brutal events rather than refunded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
