The Kiwanis Brunswick Rockin' Stewbilee 5K
The event is a community running race held in downtown Brunswick, Georgia, centered at Mary Ross Waterfront Park and the intersection of Bay Street and Gloucester Street. The course is described as flat and USTAF certified. The running distance is 5K and the race is presented by the Golden Isles Track Club in partnership with the Kiwanis Club. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia.
The running event is part of a larger day-long Stewbilee festival featuring cooking teams competing for Peoples' Choice and Judges' Award, live music, an arts and crafts vendor area, a classic and antique car show, and public stew tasting. Race registration includes a free entry into the Stewbilee (valued at $8) and the runner BIB serves as the event ticket. The published registration fee is $35. Awards include Overall Male and Female prizes, Masters Male and Female (40+), and the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
