The Kiwanis Brunswick Rockin' Stewbilee 5k
The event on February 20, 2027 combines a road race with a community food and music festival in Brunswick, Georgia. The running portion is a flat, scenic course through downtown Brunswick that is USTAF certified. The course center is at Mary Ross Waterfront Park with activity along Bay Street at Gloucester Street.
Race registration carries a fee of $30 and includes free entry to the Stewbilee festival, listed as an $8 value; the race BIB serves as the festival ticket. Pre-race packet pickup is available at a local running store on St. Simons Island and there is race day packet pickup.
The day-long Stewbilee event features cooking teams competing for Peoples' Choice and Judges' awards, stew tasting, live music, an arts and crafts vendor area, and a classic and antique car show. Awards for the race include Overall Male and Female winners with a footwear prize provided by a local running retailer, Masters Male and Female in the 40 and over category, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
Age groups used for awards are 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus. The event is presented by a local track club in partnership with the Kiwanis Club and benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia.
