Bruce's Crown Race
Bruce's Crown Race is a challenging 46-mile team event held in Galloway, Scotland, starting and finishing at Caldons near Glentrool. Teams of 2 to 4 participants traverse three hill ranges—the Minnigaff Hills, Rhinns of Kells, and the Awful Hand—climbing over 4000 meters. The course offers stunning 360-degree views, including sights of the Southern Highlands, Lake District, Snowdonia, and more.
The route demands strong navigation skills due to few paths and tough terrain. Support includes three manned checkpoints providing hot food and drinks, with mountain rescue teams ensuring safety. Camping is included, and proceeds benefit the Galloway Mountain Rescue Team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
