About the race
BRRC’s Winter Solstice 34th Street Fun Run and Happy Hour is a club event that combines short neighborhood runs with a post-run gathering at Waverly Brewing in Baltimore. The event offers multiple plotted routes and is free to BRRC members and their guests. There is no pre-registration; participants sign in at Waverly Brewing on arrival.
Participants follow one of three route options and run together as a group. All groups gather near the one-mile-to-go point at the corner of Chestnut and 34th, directly across from the 34th Street Christmas lights, which are the highlight of the route. After a group photo, the run departs together and finishes back at Waverly Brewing.

Course routes are provided for each distance. The club provides pizza and Waverly drafts during the post-run gathering. Participants are advised to dress warmly and may wear holiday-themed clothing or accessories. The event is presented as an in-person community run with a social component at the brewery, combining mapped neighborhood routes, a shared meeting point near the lights, and a casual refreshment period after the run.
