Sweet Air Trail Race : Gunpowder State Park, Sweet Air
The event is a summer trail race at Gunpowder State Park, Sweet Air (Baldwin, MD). The listed distance is 7 miles; the course is described as approximately 8 miles and crosses from the Harford County side to the Baltimore County side and back.
The route includes a mix of terrain: rolling hills, faster running sections, water crossings and occasional mud. The park has limited the field to 100 runners; previously the event drew more than 200 entrants, so a waitlist may form if capacity is reached.
There is no entry fee to register. Donations are welcome and are accepted on race day when participants pick up their bibs. Registered runners who cannot attend are asked to notify the organizer so their spot can be offered to someone else.
