Brookhaven International Festival 5K Walk and Run
The Brookhaven International Festival offers a 5K walk and run on October 18, 2026, at the Peachtree Creek Greenway Briarwood Road Trailhead, 1793 Briarwood Road Northeast, Brookhaven, GA 30329. The event is presented as part of the International Festival and celebrates the communities along the Buford Highway Cultural Corridor.
The course follows the North Fork of Peachtree Creek and uses the Peachtree Creek Greenway model mile together with adjoining parking lots, making the route off road and close to natural areas. The 5K is USATF certified and professionally timed. The event is a Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race qualifying race.
All registration fees and donations are directed to We Love Buford Highway, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to preserve the corridor's multicultural identity. Registration for fundraising events is non refundable and the event will proceed in rain or shine. T shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations made the weekend of the event.
Packet pick up is scheduled before and on race day at the Public Safety Building, 1793 Briarwood Road Northeast, Atlanta GA 30329. Awards are given for overall male and female and in standard age group divisions including youth and senior categories. Walkers, people with strollers, elders, and children are welcome to participate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
