Brodick Glencloy Trail - Isle of Arran
This is a trail race of about 10K that starts and registers at Ormidale Sports Pavilion in Brodick on the Isle of Arran. The course runs from the sports field through West Mayish estate, along the Old Lamlash Road footpath, up a rough footpath to the ridge between Brodick and Lamlash, then onto a broad forestry road, down into Glen Cloy and alongside the Cloy Burn to finish at the old garage forecourt at the bottom of Auchrannie Road.
The route includes rough footpaths, forestry roads and two rough fields, with only about 250 yards on tarmac pavement or road. Total ascent is about 600 feet from and back to sea level. Trail shoes with grip are recommended.
Practical details published for the event include entry opening on 17 February 2026 and closing on 21 August 2026, a minimum age of 16, and an entry limit of 100 runners. Entry fees are listed separately for Scottish Athletics members and non members. There are toilets and changing facilities at the Sports Pavilion and a range of eating options in Brodick.
