Mandatory kit and safety

- Gloves
- Whistle
- Charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored
- Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent
The final kit to be carried may be confirmed on the day depending on conditions. Random kit checks may be carried out; failure to have required items can lead to denied entry or disqualification. If a runner cannot finish, they should inform a volunteer to avoid unnecessary search activity.

The race start is at the crossroads with the Wicklow Way in Brockagh Woods, about 1 km from the registration area.
