Event Information
The Broad River Half Marathon is a trail running event. It is held at Harbison State Forest in Columbia, South Carolina. The race is part of the Upstate Race Series and the Midland Mountain Trail Series, a Thanksgiving trail celebration.
Course Details
The event takes place on the trail network of Harbison State Forest, an area of over 2,000 acres along the Broad River. The course goes through woodlands and crosses streams. The terrain includes rolling hills. There are three aid stations on the route, stocked with water, Coke, ginger ale, and snacks like pickles, cookies, and candy. This is a cupless event, so participants must bring their own hydration vessel.
Registration and Logistics
The registration price is listed as $30. Packet pickup is available on race day at the start/finish area gazebo. Race day registration is also available. Parking is available within the state forest, but a separate park entry fee is required.
Awards and Perks
All finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in each age group. The event includes a post-race meal with vegetarian options. Other participant perks include a custom race bib, a race sticker, and other event-themed giveaways.
Additional Information
