Broad River Half Marathon
The Broad River Half Marathon is a trail race held on 11/21/2026 as part of the Midland Mountain Trail Series Thanksgiving celebration. The event takes place at Harbison State Forest, located at 5600 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The main distance is 13.1 Miles on a network of maintained forest trails that run along the Broad River.
The course leads through pine and hardwood stands, crosses creeks, and includes varied elevation. Trails are described as well marked and easy to follow, with seasonal fall scenery such as leaf cover and golden foliage. Aid stations are positioned at Mile 4.8, Mile 11, and at the Start/Finish area and provide snacks including pickles, cookies, chips, fig newtons, assorted candy and pretzels, plus water, Coke, and ginger ale. This is a cupless event; participants are asked to bring their own hydration flask or cup. A community table for shared snacks is available.
Participants may set up a small personal tent or leave a drop bag near the Start/Finish area and main aid station, while keeping gear clear of the course and removing items after the event. Parking is accessed from the listed address with event signage and volunteers directing vehicles; on-site parking requires staying on the left side and parking directly behind the car in front.
