Mum-A-Thon Road Race
The Mum-A-Thon Road Race is the 57th annual event organized by The Bristol Rotary Club and scheduled for Sunday October 18, 2026. The event has a Halloween theme and supports local youth organizations through race proceeds and mini-grants.
Distances offered include:
- 5K Road Race
- 8K Road Race
- 8 mile Road Race
- Monster Mile (not timed)
Courses run through the northeast section of Bristol and include a climb at mile 1, rolling terrain, and a downhill finish on the 8K and 8 mile courses. The run is conducted facing traffic. A wheelchair start is provided for the 8K and 8 mile events.
All events begin and end at St. Paul Catholic High School, 1001 Stafford Ave., Bristol CT. Participants must use the Maltby Street entrance. There is plenty of free parking on the school grounds; posted signs should be obeyed.

Awards and prizes include hand cut and hand painted glow in the dark Mummy awards for the top three male and female overall finishers in the 8 mile event, plus cash prizes for the top three 8 mile finishers. No age group awards are given for the 8 mile. Top male and female overall winners in the 8K are recognized. Standard 10-year age group awards apply for the 5K, with groups from 12 and under through 70 and over.
