About the race
The Mum-A-Thon Road Race is the 57th annual running event organized by the Bristol Rotary Club on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The event is Halloween themed and takes place at St. Paul Catholic High School, 1001 Stafford Ave, Bristol CT.
Distances offered include:
- 5K Road Race
- 8K Road Race
- 8 Mile Road Race
- Monster Mile (not timed)
New courses and new race maps are in effect for 2026. The courses run through the northeast section of Bristol, include a climb near mile 1, feature rolling terrain, and have a downhill finish for the 8K and 8 mile routes. Participants run facing traffic. All events begin and end at St. Paul Catholic High School. Parking is available on the school grounds via the Maltby Street entrance.
Entry fees for 2026 are listed as $32.80 for the 5K, $38.10 for the 8K, $43.40 for the 8 mile, and $16.90 for the Monster Mile. The 8 mile awards include cash prizes for top three overall men and women and hand cut, hand painted glow in the dark mummy awards for the top three overall in that event. No age group awards are given in the 8 mile event. Top male and female 8K winners are recognized. Standard 10 year age group awards apply for the 5K.
