Event overview

Run the River 100 takes place on 8-9 May 2026 at the Queensland Maritime Museum, 412 Stanley Street, Brisbane. The event includes an AIMS-certified 100 km option and a Midnight Marathon. Race categories and course

Distances offered include:

  • 100 km individual solo (also presented as a 15-hour solo option)
  • 100 km team entries
  • 42.2 km Midnight Marathon (individual and dual relay)

The main course uses a 5 km riverside loop. In the final hour of each event, the course switches to a 2.5 km loop that leads to the finish at the museum. The event is held overnight, with running along the river and through the city nightscape.

Team rules and logistics

Team entries must complete a total of 100 km. Each team member must complete at least one full 5 km loop. Team members may run multiple loops and may exchange within the designated interchange lane only. Official timekeepers will be on site to track distance and time.
