Brighton Marathon Weekend
The Brighton Marathon Weekend is an annual running festival held in the coastal city of Brighton and Hove. Established in 2010, the event has grown to become the third-largest marathon in the United Kingdom. The weekend features multiple running distances to celebrate the local community and encourage active participation.
The event takes place over two days and includes the following distances:
- Brighton Miles
- Brighton and Hove 10K
- Brighton Marathon
The organizers expect approximately 20,000 participants across the three events. The marathon course is supported by various entertainment groups, including steel pan bands, to motivate the runners. The infrastructure for the event includes a park and ride service for participants and spectators, as well as specific provisions for participants with disabilities.
For those taking part, training plans are available to assist with preparation. Participants receive a digital guide containing technical details such as bib numbers and event day information. Results from previous years, including 2024, 2025, and 2026, are maintained for reference. The event is managed by London Marathon Events and involves a large network of volunteers who assist with tasks such as distributing finisher t-shirts.
