Brighton Marathon Weekend
The Brighton Marathon Weekend is an annual running festival held in the coastal city of Brighton and Hove. Established in 2010, the event has grown to become the third-largest marathon in the United Kingdom. The festival spans two days and is designed to celebrate the local community through various athletic activities.
The 2027 edition is scheduled for Saturday 3 April and Sunday 4 April. Organizers expect up to 20,000 participants to take part across the different available distances. The weekend features several distinct events:
- Brighton Marathon
- Brighton & Hove 10K
- Brighton Miles
- Brighton Trail Marathon
The Brighton Miles is a free event for children that has been part of the program since the weekend's inception. For those preferring surfaces away from the road, the Brighton Trail Marathon offers an off-road alternative.
Participants have access to various resources to assist with their preparation, including training plans and an online participant guide. The event management utilizes a digital account system where runners can find their bib numbers, event guides, and accessibility information. Support services such as a Park and Ride system are organized to facilitate travel during the weekend. The event also accommodates participants with disabilities and utilizes pacers on the marathon course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
