Event Details

The Brighton July 4th 5K is held on July 4, 2026, at Brighton High School in Rochester, New York. This event is a yearly tradition and part of the Town of Brighton July 4th celebration. The course is described as flat and fast.

Location and Course

The race starts and finishes at Brighton High School on the Winton Avenue side. It begins on Winton Road and finishes in the bus loop in front of the high school. Parking is available at Brighton High School.

Registration and Packet Pickup

Registration is available online until 5:45 PM on July 3rd. There is no registration on the day of the race. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet @ The Armory in Rochester on Friday, July 3rd, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Race day packet pickup is available at the site from 7:30 AM to 7:55 AM but is not advised.

Participant Perks

Registration includes a custom race bib, a printable finisher certificate, online results, post-race food and drink, and RFID electronic timing. A cotton-blend t-shirt is guaranteed to all participants who register by June 14th.

Awards

Awards are scheduled to begin around 9:15 AM outside at the high school. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers, and the top three male and female finishers in various age groups from 14 & under to 80 & over. Awards are not mailed.
