Brightlingsea Jog Walk Run
Brightlingsea Jog Walk Run is an annual community event organised by Brightlingsea & District Rotary Club to raise funds for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 13 September 2026 and will follow its traditional coastal and riverside route.
The course is approximately 4 miles long and follows a mix of gravel footpaths and country lanes. The route starts just outside All Saints Church at the top of Moveron’s Lane, continues down Moveron’s Lane to Alresford Creek, then runs along the seawall back to Brightlingsea and finishes at the Millennium Gardens behind Bateman’s Tower. The terrain is initially gently downhill and then largely flat.
The event is organised for walkers, joggers and runners. Dogs on leads are permitted; horses and cycles are not allowed. The course is described as suitable for sturdy buggies. Entries can be submitted online via the event Entries page or entered on the day at registration. In addition to entry fees, participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance to support the charity work funded by donations.
