Brightlingsea Jog Walk Run
Brightlingsea Jog Walk Run is organised by Brightlingsea & District Rotary Club to raise funds for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. The event follows a traditional route that starts just outside All Saints Church at the top of Moverons Lane, follows Moverons Lane to Alresford Creek, continues along the seawall back to Brightlingsea, and finishes at the Millennium Gardens behind Bateman's Tower.
The course is approximately 4 miles long and uses a combination of gravel footpaths and country lanes. The route is initially gently downhill and then mainly flat. Dogs on leads are welcome. Horses and cycles are not permitted. The course is described as suitable for sturdy buggies.
Entry options include online entry and on the day registration at the event. All funds raised by the event go to support the work of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. Competitors may also support the charity through individual sponsorship or by encouraging donations from friends and family.
Practical information covers the course layout, permitted and prohibited participants, and recommended equipment for mixed surfaces. The event presents a riverside and coastal setting through parts of the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
