Bright Fun Run Trail Fest
The Bright Fun Run is an annual community event held in Bright, located in North East Victoria. Established in 2011, the event serves as a fundraiser for Bright P-12 College. Proceeds from the 2026 edition are designated for student wellbeing and mental health programs within the school.
The event features various trail running distances through the local landscape of the high country. Participants can choose from multiple course lengths depending on their preference for distance and terrain:
- 18 km trail race
- 9 km trail race (historically 8 km or 9 km)
- 3 km trail run
The courses utilize the trail networks surrounding the town of Bright, incorporating mountain terrain and local tracks. In addition to the primary running events, the festival includes kids' novelty races such as sack races and egg-and-spoon races.
A central event hub, known as the village, provides amenities for attendees. This area typically features local food and beverage vendors, a barbecue hosted by the college, and a bake sale.
