Buffalo Stampede Festival - Bright, Victoria
The Buffalo Stampede Festival is a series of sky running and trail running events held in Bright and Mount Buffalo, Victoria. The 2026 festival is scheduled for 27-29 March 2026 and is based at Pioneer Park Recreation Reserve, 64/72 Coronation Ave, Bright VIC 3741. The event is produced by SingleTrack Events and attracts over 3,000 trail runners from Australia and overseas. Distances range from ultra distances to short family and junior runs.
Race distances and formats
- 100 km - Solo or team; Bright to the Horn on Mount Buffalo; 60 km in National Park.
- 100 km Team Relay - Teams of four relay the 100 km course.
- 42 km SkyMarathon - Downhill mountain marathon from Mount Buffalo to Bright.
- 20 km SkyRun - Loop from Bright to Mystic and Clearspot.
- 10 km Twilight - Route climbs Emily's Spur and descends Mystic Park MTB trails.
- 152 km Ultra Slam - Combined 10 km, 100 km and 42 km over three days.
- 72 km Grand Slam - Combined 10 km, 20 km and 42 km over three days.
- 5 km Family Trail - Family trail run in Bright.
- 2 km Junior Trail - Junior trail run; finishers receive medals.
