Event overview

The Buffalo Stampede Festival is a multi-day trail and sky running festival held in Bright and Mount Buffalo, Victoria. The programme includes a range of distances and race formats, from short family runs to long mountain ultras. Key events and formats include:

  • 100 km Relay teams of four on the 100 km course
  • 42 km SkyMarathon (downhill from Mount Buffalo to Bright)
  • 20 km SkyRun (loop from Bright to Mystic and Clearspot)
  • 10 km Twilight (includes climb up Emily's Spur and descent via Mystic Park MTB trails)
  • 5 km Family Trail
  • 2 km Junior Trail Run

There are also combined stage events: the Ultra Slam at 152 km (10 km + 100 km + 42 km) and the Grand Slam at 72 km (10 km + 20 km + 42 km).
