Event information
The 2026 Brigantine Beach Triathlon takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Brigantine, New Jersey. The event is based at the 26th Street City Dock and 26th Street Recreation Complex, 2601 Bayshore Ave, Brigantine, NJ 08203. The race offers multiple entry options: Triathlon Open, 3 Person Triathlon Relay, 2 Person Triathlon Relay, Duathlon, Aquabike, and a Defer To Next Year option. Listed entry fees are $130 for the Triathlon Open, $60 per person for the 3 Person Relay, $85 per person for the 2 Person Relay, $130 for the Duathlon, $130 for the Aquabike, and $50 for Defer To Next Year. Registration for most events opens November 15, 2025; the Defer To Next Year option opens July 17, 2026. The race field will be capped at 600 registrants.
Course and on-site activities
The event begins with a 1/4 mile swim in the bay starting at the 26th St. S. City Dock area, followed by an 11 mile bike ride around the island of Brigantine, and finishes with a 4 mile run to the north end of Brigantine and back to the 26th St. S. Recreation Complex. Distances:
- 0.25 mile swim
- 11 mile bike
- 4 mile run
After the competition, athletes may use the 26th Street Recreation Complex for lunch, a DJ, and an awards ceremony.
Community involvement
The race benefits several local organizations and community programs. Local police, fire, EMS, public works, beach patrol, emergency management, state and federal agencies, and city officials are listed as involved in race operations.
