Event overview
The 2026 Brigantine Beach Triathlon takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The event is organized by the City of Brigantine and Green Whales, Inc. Multiple event types are offered: Triathlon Open, 3 Person Triathlon Relay, 2 Person Triathlon Relay, Duathlon, Aquabike, and a "Defer To Next Year" option. Entry fees listed on the event page include $130 for the Triathlon Open, $60 per person for the 3 Person Relay, $85 per person for the 2 Person Relay, $130 for Duathlon and Aquabike, and $50 for Defer To Next Year. Course and logistics
The race starts and finishes at the 26th Street City Dock / Recreation Complex, 2601 Bayshore Ave, Brigantine, NJ 08203. The course sequence is swim, bike, then run. Distances listed in the event description are:
- 1/4 mile swim
- 11 mile bike
- 4 mile run
The event description notes participation by several hundred athletes and a cap of 600 registrants. Local agencies involved include police, fire, EMS, Department of Public Works, Beach Patrol, Department of Emergency Management, NJ State Police, US Coast Guard, and city officials.
Additional details
Proceeds have benefited local organizations such as the Polar Bear Plunge, Brigantine Rams, Brigantine Baseball and Softball, Marine Mammal Stranding Center, American Red Cross, Brigantine Community School, South Jersey Cancer Fund, Atlantic United Soccer, and EHT Police Explorers.
