Brigantine Beach Triathlon 2026
The City of Brigantine and Green Whales, Inc present the Brigantine Beach Triathlon on August 8, 2026 in Brigantine, New Jersey. The event supports a range of local organizations and community benefits, including the Polar Bear Plunge, Brigantine Rams, Brigantine Baseball and Softball, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, the American Red Cross, Brigantine Community School, the South Jersey Cancer Fund, Atlantic United Soccer, EHT Police Explorers, and other local initiatives.
The race course begins with a 1/4 mile swim in the bay near the 26th Street S City Dock area. Athletes then follow an approximately 11 mile bike route around the Island of Brigantine. Competitors return to the 26th Street S City Dock area to begin a 4 mile run north to the island end and back, finishing at the 26th Street S Recreation Complex.

- Triathlon Open: 15.25 miles
- 3 Person Triathlon Relay: 15.25 miles
- 2 Person Triathlon Relay: 15.25 miles
- Duathlon: 15 miles
- Aquabike: 11.25 miles
- Defer To Next Year entry option
Local agencies and services involved in event operations include local police, fire, EMS, the Department of Public Works, the Beach Patrol, the Department of Emergency Management, the NJ State Police, the US Coast Guard, and city officials. After the event athletes may gather at the 26th Street Recreation Complex for lunch, a DJ, and an awards ceremony. The race is capped at 600 registrants.
