Bridge Day 5K RUN - October 17, 2026
The Bridge Day 5K RUN is a single-distance road race held in Fayetteville, West Virginia. The course starts on the north side of the New River Gorge Bridge and runs south to the Court Street finish line in the town of Fayetteville. The listed venue is the Fayette County Memorial Building, 200 West Maple Ave, Fayetteville WV 25840. The event is sponsored by West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
Registration opens 01/01/2026 and closes 02/24/2026. The registration fee is $45.00 and entries are limited to 600 participants. The organizer designates this as a run only event; walking is prohibited due to restricted road closures. The minimum age to enter is 8 years.
Participants must maintain a pace of 15 minutes per mile for the initial mile as part of event safety requirements. Racers will receive event details by email approximately one week before the race. The event provides a finisher medal for all finishers and top finisher medals in the following age groups for both male and female divisions: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Active SWV does not mail race bibs, shirts, finisher medals, or awards by default; if items are mailed after the event a donation of $10 may be requested to cover shipping.
