The route climbs to a high point of 7,109 feet and includes long sections of rolling singletrack through Royal Gorge Mountain Park. Aid stations are well stocked and include Tailwind, Muir Energy Gels, baked goods, snacks, fruit, soda, and hot food options such as bacon, quesadillas, potatoes, and pierogis. Some aid stations are crew accessible and accept drop bags; the Tunnel aid station is marked as no crew. Pacing is prohibited and crewing is allowed only at crew accessible aid stations. All aid stations are accessible by two wheel drive vehicles.
Logistics note that packet pickup is held at Centennial Park the day before and on race morning.
