Bridge 2 Bridge Half Marathon & 5K
The event in Ashtabula, Ohio comprises two road races that start at Harbor-Topky Memorial Library and finish on Bridge Street in Ashtabula Harbor. Distances offered include:
- 13.1 Miles Half Marathon
- 5K road race
Packet pickup is at Harbor-Topky Memorial Library the morning of each race. Entry fees listed are $50 for the half marathon and $30 for the 5K. ADR Club members receive a $5 discount per race and an additional $5 discount when registering for both; non-club registrants receive a $5 discount if they enter both races.
Chip timing is used to determine overall and age-group winners. The half marathon awards cash prizes to the top three overall male and female finishers: $150, $100, and $50 respectively. Additional prize money is available if an event record is set; current records are Male 1:12:33 (2021) and Female 1:26:54 (2020). Finishers awards and age-group awards are given for the half marathon; the 5K has overall and age-group awards.
The half marathon course has five water stops (first near 3.5 miles on Columbus Ave; second near 5.5 miles on Main Ave; third near the Smolen-Gulf Covered Bridge; final two on the return). There are no water stops on the 5K. The half marathon has a 3 hour 30 minute course time limit. The course crosses a railroad and a lift bridge; rail and boat traffic have right of way and official time does not stop for delays.
Long sleeve tech shirts are available (150 total); guaranteed sizes require request by Oct. 15 at 6 pm. Parking is available at Walnut Beach and West 1st Street. No dogs are allowed on course; service animals are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
