Stasny Road Racing 5K Prediction Race
Stasny Road Racing hosts a prediction-style 5K running event in Austinburg, Ohio at 2591 Lampson Rd, 44010. During registration each participant enters an estimated finishing time in H:MM:SS format; scoring compares that estimate to the runner's official chip time and ranks competitors by the absolute difference in whole seconds. Awards are given to the five runners whose official times are closest to their submitted estimates.
Timing and rules: chip timing with Chronotrack Systems provides official results; times displayed on Athlinks and on-site result TVs are not official. Official times are recorded as whole seconds from Chronotrack output; tenths of a second are not used or rounded for scoring. A participant's official time begins when they cross the start line and ends when they cross the finish line. Tie breakers use the higher overall finishing position.
Prohibited items and disqualification: watches, GPS devices, stopwatches, phones, music or earbuds, measuring wheels, sundials, and similar timing aids are not allowed; use of such devices leads to disqualification and forfeiture of awards and fees. Entry fees are tiered: $15 until December 31, 2026; $20 until April 26, 2027; $25 on race day. The first 50 registered participants receive a Stasny Road Racing giveaway.
