Brewhouse Triathlon
The Brewhouse Triathlon is one of Minnesota's most established multisport events, now entering its 39th year. The event takes place at the Minnesota Power Pavilion at Island Lake, located approximately 15 miles north of Duluth. The competition follows regulations set by USA Triathlon and St. Louis County to ensure a structured and safe environment for all participants.
The event features a swim in the waters of Island Lake, followed by a cycling segment conducted on newly paved roads. The final stage of the race is a run that utilizes a combination of asphalt and gravel surfaces. To support participants throughout the final leg, the run course is equipped with multiple aid stations.
Registration must be completed in advance, as there is no registration available on the day of the race. Interested individuals can register online or in person during the packet pick-up held on the Saturday evening prior to the event. The race utilizes wave starts and maintains a structured transition area for competitors.
Participants can choose from the following event formats:
- Long Course Individual
- Buzz Ryan Triathlon (Short Course)
- Root Beer Kids Triathlon
The event is part of the Ramjet Races series and provides a variety of distances for different age groups and experience levels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
