Brevard Zoo Winter Sprinter 3K
This is the inaugural Winter Sprinter 3K at Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida. The event offers both an in person 3K and a virtual 3K option on December 22, 2026, at the zoo located on 8225 N Wickham Road. The course passes holiday light displays across the zoo and is presented as a family friendly evening event.
Registration opens August 25, 2026. In person entries close October 31, 2026, and virtual entries close December 18, 2026. The posted registration fees are $32.00 for the in person 3K and $40.00 for the virtual 3K. The event has limited entries and is expected to sell out. There are no refunds for any reason.
The course has a one hour time limit starting when each participant begins. Water and Gatorade are available along the route and at the start and finish area. Awards and finisher items include prizes for the top 10 overall male and top 10 overall female finishers, and top 10 male and top 10 female finishers in the 11 and under division. All finishers receive a winter themed medal and a commemorative running hat. Race shirts are offered for purchase online prior to the event for $20 each.
A pre race packet will be emailed approximately one week before the event. There will be three in person packet pickup opportunities; dates and times will be provided in the pre race packet. Virtual participants do not need to attend packet pickup or race day; packets for virtual entrants are mailed after proof of the completed distance is received.
